Norwalk was able to host it first regional dual since 1999 on Wednesday night. This is the 4th time in school history the team hosted this event, the first in class 3A. The Warriors we able to punch their ticket to state duals for the first time in school history with a 43-28 victory over the Ankeny Hawks.
Throughout the night the lead changed hands 6 different times. It was a very gutsy performance from every wrestler in the line up. The Warriors were able to record 6 falls on the night and closed the evening with 3 straight falls from seniors: Cade Schmidt, Tristen Duncan and Nick Marker.
The Warriors take the #7 seed in the tournament on Wednesday and face #2 seeded Southeast Polk in the open round starting at 9 am.
