I am a UnityPoint Health- Des Moines athletic trainer and I am entering my 5th year working at Norwalk High School. I graduated from Norwalk High School and went to Coe College where I received my B.A. in Athletic Training. Prior to working at Norwalk High School I worked at Hudson High School for 5 years.
I am a member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA), the Mid America Athletic Trainers Association (MAATA), and the Iowa Athletic Trainers' Society (IATS). I am a member of the IATS Seconday School athletic training committee. I am also involved with the Norwalk Alumni committee.
I am also a clinical instructor for the Simpson College athletic training education program. As a clinical instructor I work with Simpson athletic training students throughout the school year. Norwalk High School currently serves as a clinical rotation site for students to gain experience while working with the following teams: Football, Boys & Girls Track,and the Boys & Girls Soccer programs.
I have daily office hours at the school from 2:00pm-6:00pm during the school year. Office hours during the summer seasons are by appointment. I cover all home varsity competitions, as well as away football games.
